Attendance Dashboard

Overview

The Attendance Dashboard provides employees with a complete view of their attendance history, overtime records, and attendance requests. It helps employees monitor their daily attendance, track overtime activities, and review the status of submitted requests from a single location.

The Attendance Dashboard consists of the following sections:

  • Attendance Records
  • Overtime Request History
  • Attendance Request History

Attendance Records

Overview

The Attendance Records section allows employees to view their daily attendance history. Employees can switch between a Calendar View and a List View, search attendance records, apply filters, export data, and submit attendance correction requests when required.

Calendar View

The Calendar View displays attendance records in a monthly calendar format.

Each day is highlighted with its attendance status, making it easy to identify attendance patterns throughout the month.

Attendance statuses include:

  • Present
  • Absent
  • Partial Attendance
  • PL (Paid Leave)
  • CL (Casual Leave)
  • SL (Sick Leave) ETC.

Use the navigation arrows to move between different months.

List View

The List View displays attendance information in a tabular format.

Each attendance record includes:

  • Date
  • Shift Timing
  • Check-In Time
  • Check-Out Time
  • Attendance Status
  • Worked Hours
  • Break Time
  • Time Lapse

Search and Filter Attendance Records

Employees can quickly find attendance records using the available search and filtering options.

Available filters include:

  • Month
  • Year
  • Attendance Status
  • Day
  • Overtime Status

The search bar allows employees to search attendance records instantly.

Submit an Attendance Request

If attendance information requires correction, employees can submit an attendance request directly from this page.

Submit an Attendance Request

  1. Click Attendance Request.
  2. Select the attendance date.
  3. Choose the request type:
    • Check-In
    • Check-Out
    • Both
  4. Enter the required time details.
  5. Provide a reason for the request.
  6. Click Submit.

The request is forwarded to the appropriate manager for review and approval.

Overtime Request History

Overview

The Overtime Request History section displays all overtime requests submitted by the employee along with their approval status and overtime details.

Employees can also submit overtime correction requests if they missed recording their overtime attendance.

View Overtime Requests

Each overtime record displays:

  • Request Date
  • Shift Timing
  • Overtime Date
  • Approved Overtime Hours
  • Overtime Start Time
  • Overtime End Time
  • Worked Overtime Hours
  • Reason
  • Approval Status
  • Overtime Status

Search and Filter Overtime Requests

Employees can search and filter overtime requests using:

  • Overtime Date
  • Applied On
  • Duration
  • Approval Status

View Log

Employees can view the approval log for any overtime request to track its submission history.

  1. Click View Log on the Overtime Request History tab.
  2. The Approval Log modal opens, displaying:
    • Total Hours
    • OT Request Type
    • Submitted On (date, or “—” if not yet submitted)
    • Submissions

If the overtime request has not yet been submitted, the modal shows “No records found.”

Under Attendance Request History — this replaces/refines the “View Approval Log” section already in your draft, since the source doc specifies different fields than what’s currently written:

View Log

Employees can view the approval log for any attendance request to track its submission history.

  1. Click View Log on the Attendance Request History tab.
  2. The Approval Log modal opens, displaying:
    • Attendance Date
    • Request Type
    • Total Hours (decimal, e.g., 0.0)
    • Submitted On (date, or “—” if not yet submitted)
    • Submissions

If the attendance request has not yet been submitted, the modal shows “No records found.”

Submit an Overtime Correction Request

If an employee forgets to record an overtime check-in or check-out, an overtime correction request can be submitted.

Submit an Overtime Correction Request

  1. Click Overtime Correction Request.
  2. Select the approved overtime entry.
  3. Choose the correction type:
    • OT Check-In
    • OT Check-Out
  4. Enter the actual time.
  5. Provide a reason for the correction.
  6. Click Submit Request.

The correction request is sent for manager approval.

Attendance Request History

Overview

The Attendance Request History section provides a read-only record of all attendance correction requests previously submitted by the employee.

Employees can review the current status of each request but cannot modify submitted requests.

View Attendance Request History

Each request displays:

  • Request Date
  • Shift Timing
  • Attendance Date
  • Request Type
  • Reason
  • Approval Status

Search and Filter Attendance Requests

Employees can search and filter attendance requests using:

  • Applied On
  • Requested Date
  • Request Type
  • Approval Status

The search bar helps locate specific attendance requests quickly.

View Approval Log

Each attendance request includes an approval log that records the approval process.

The approval log displays:

  • Submission details
  • Employee information
  • Date and time of submission
  • Approver details
  • Approval or rejection date and time

Important Notes

  • Attendance records can be viewed in both Calendar View and List View.
  • Attendance requests can only be submitted for eligible attendance records.
  • Overtime correction requests can only be submitted for approved overtime entries.
  • Submitted attendance and overtime requests remain available in their respective history sections for future reference.
  • Employees can search, filter, sort, and export attendance and overtime records to simplify record management.
