Backups & Data Export
- Check your backup frequency in Company Settings → Backups — GEMS runs automatic backups by default; confirm the schedule matches your needs.
- Trigger a manual backup before any major change (bulk import, module rollout, integration setup).
- Know your export options — most data (employees, transactions, contacts, orders) can be exported as CSV at any time, independent of the backup system.
- Understand retention — how long GEMS keeps backup snapshots, so you know your recovery window.
- Test a restore at least once in a non-production scenario, so you know the process before you ever need it in an emergency.
